Avanti works towards their first album

Avanti selected to participate in DISA Decoda workshop:
June 2017

Avanti were one of five established chamber groups across South Africa selected to participate in the week-long workshop hosted by the Decoda Ensemble - the affiliate ensemble of Carnegie Hall in New York City.  Receiving coaching and mentorship from some of New York's most dynamic classical musicians, the workshop culminated in interactive performances in Khayelitsha and at YoungBlood Gallery.

The work is founded in birdsong and both Minter and Enderstein developed and maintained a very natural dialogue where one could envisage a bird interacting with its environment."
